​The average cost of a horse in care is upwards of $3,000 (and often more!) including hay, feed, veterinary care (both regular (teeth, vaccines, etc.) and rehabilitations), farrier, training, and the list goes on!

Consider Leaving a LEGACY GIFT

~Leaving a legacy gift is a beautiful way to ensure your compassion for animals continues to make a difference long into the future. Wild Hearts has a long term goal of creating a sanctuary arm (requires charity ability to secure additional land, and a greater level of funding for lifelong stays). We currently are not set up for (facility wise), nor have the funding to offer this service, but it is desperately needed for those retiring without the fortune of being rideable in their second career. While we wish the demand for young, pasture sound only thoroughbreds was there, we have learned over the years that being rideable (even if flatwork only) is a make or break for these equally deserving portion of horses. There doesn't currently exist a sanctuary and we are determined to make it a reality one day (with your help!) Learn more HERE.
